Prevented from Doing the Right Thing? Adhering to the BACB Compliance Code
Recorded webinar, **1 BACB Ethics CE**
Presenter: Barbara Kaminski, PhD, BCBA-D
Tickets: $10/CE, $5 no CE
Event description: As Rosenberg and Schwartz (2018) argued, as a behavior analyst faced with an "ethical" dilemma, you may find various elements of the PECCBA ("Compliance Code") to conflict with one another. The result is confusion and worry over "unethical" non-adherence to ALL aspects of the Compliance Code. In this webinar, we will expand on this argument and explore scenarios in which a behavior analyst may encounter such a problem. Through modeling, you will leave this webinar feeling less "uncomfortable" and more confident in your ability to make the right, defensible decision based on values.
Learning outcomes: Given a scenario, the learner will identify the relevant elements of BACB Compliance Code; Given a scenario, the learner will identify a solution based on best available evidence, clinical expertise, values and ethical principles. Specific content involves review of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts, Sections 1.04 and 10.06.
