TERMS & CONDITIONS

General

  1. This agreement is binding on both parties (Organization and User) and cannot be canceled except as membership use is discontinued, through termination by either party for any reason.

  2. The Organization and User mutually agree that all parties shall be released from any and all liability or damages based on site activity, direct, or indirect interactions.

 

Changes

  1. This agreement is between the Organization and the User.

  2. Organization may modify this User agreement at any time.

    1. If changes are made, Organization will provide notice using the provided contact information on the member’s account, and update the policy editions on the website.

    2. By continuing to use the website and membership features, the User understands that changes to policies may be made at any time and kept up-to-date on the site itself. However, the User may not be notified individually about all revisions or updates to any or all policies at all times.

 

Media, Marketing, and Promotional

  1. The User authorizes the Organization to use their name, likeness, photograph, and biographical data in connection with membership displays, website pages, and forum use, or other “virtual” ways.

    1. This agreement is in effect until the termination of User membership.

  2. The Organization agrees to only use this information within the site, unless contacted individually by a representative of the Organization to request permission to use the User’s likeness (image), name or any other identifier in a social media post.

 

Content and intellectual property

  1. The User agrees, to the best of their ability, to ensure that all content shared is factually accurate and contain no matter libelous or otherwise unlawful.

  2. The User further agrees that such presentation, handouts, and related materials are either:

    1. the User’s own original work or,

    2. available for use without permission because they are in a public domain, or

    3. when materials utilized in the presentation are not the speaker’s own original work or in a public domain, they are either

    4. presented with the permission of the originator/owner of the material, or

    5. are believed to be within the “fair use” exemption of copyright law which includes use for purposes of criticism, news reporting, commentary, teaching, and research.

  3. The Organization understands that permissions granted to the site under this policy do not prohibit the member from using their own content in the User’s future professional or personal work.

    1. The User agrees to never copy or share information originating from another Member, and will never share information from the Member’s Only site that is not 100% original (i.e., any collective tool, comments from a thread, etc.) with anyone else, for any reason.

 

Termination

  1. The Organization is committed to a culture that is comprised of people of different ages, races, nationalities, ethnic groups, sexual orientations, genders, classes, religions, abilities, and educational levels. We strictly oppose unfair discrimination, harassment, and derogatory language.

  2. Organizers may terminate the User's membership at any time for any reason they deem necessary

    1. When appropriate, corrective feedback will be provided by the Organization's admins in line with the Code of Conduct

    2. All termination actions are considered a case by case basis, with the final decision being determined by the Organization.

  3. Any User terminated by the Organization will not be permitted to reapply for membership unless otherwise agreed upon and communicated directly to the former User by the Organization.

    1. The act of attempting to make a fake account or misrepresenting one’s professional certifications and degrees will lead to the Organization taking additional action, including but not limited to: contacting professional and/or ethical compliance organizations, universities or employers if such are misrepresented

 

Emergencies and Safety:

  1. Safety is a primary concern for the Organization.

  2. Users should contact the Organization if concerns arise while using the site.

    1. Any concerns should be reported immediately with digital correspondence.

    2. No retaliation will be made on the part of the Organization to members who make reports.

 

Disclaimers and Limitations

  1. The User agrees that in the instance of legal proceedings they will cooperate with the Organization as well as the Organization’s agents.

  2. Any and all legal proceedings that may arise shall remain in the jurisdiction of Florida

  3. Privacy and protecting all parties’ personal information is of the utmost importance. Sharing of sensitive information is prohibited by the Privacy Policy.
